2 Things To Do After Incorporating A Company

1. Set Up A Company Website

With 3.26 billion internet users as at 31st December 2015 (that is over 40% of the world population).  It is now a must to have an online presence with awesome web design for your business. You can do this through a website whether you use it to provide information or to sell goods through the website. In fact, there are so many things you can do with a website.

We are certain most of us have heard of something about First Impression before. Today, most of us get the first impression from the internet mostly through the website or any digital platform. So, a poorly built website may do more harm than good to your brand and business that you worked hard for. It’s very important for you to understand that it is necessary to invest a proper sum of capital to hire a web developer that you can rely on and trust to build a professional website for you.

Many people assumed sales or inquiry will come in once the website is built. Having the website itself is NOT enough, the website is just your starting point (a very good starting point!). The logic is simple, “if you don’t tell people about your business, nobody will know about it”. Because the internet is huge!

“Because the internet is HUGE!”

You need to have online marketing, it can be outsource to professional or you can do it yourself [see next point]. Regardless of which you choose. You will still have to put some effort (time or money or both) to achieve your corporate goals. Consider every effort you put in as an investment on your brand and business. Because when you invest your capital, you are expecting to have some return on investment and as a wise entrepreneur, you should know clearly what you want to achieve.

A website is only expensive if you do not have a clearly defined goal(s) or you do not know how to use the website for the benefit of your business. Ask yourself, why you want to have a website and what you want to do with your website? (*tips: do more research)

2. Marketing

4 scaled 1

“Marketing is a process by which a product or service is introduced and promoted to potential customers.”

Your website is similar to a shop, to get people (web traffic) to come to your shop, you will have to advertise at various platform (Facebook, Google, newspaper or other online/offline platform). To convert these people (web traffic) into sales, it’s truly depends on the the products or services that you offer and whether people (traffic) want to buy your products or use your services. Without people coming into your website and stay for a period of time to find out more about your products or services, you won’t be able to convert them into sales.

For online marketing, you can consider the following:

  • Google AdWords – Pay Per Click Advertising
  • Banner Advertising
  • Newsletter Advertising
  • Social Media

The advantage of digital form of marketing over the non-digital is that you can target your audience based on location, age group, gender, keywords and many more. Please be advised that we don’t mean traditional marketing is not useful, in fact, it is equally useful and important. Find out more about Micro-Moments.

Without marketing, your business may offer the best products or services in your industry, but none of your potential customers would know about it. Without marketing, sales may crash and companies may have to close. So in short, whether it is offline or online or a mixture of both, marketing is something that you cannot miss.
